About Me
With over 30 years of direct experience in the hospitality industry, Dr. Mike Hampton was appointed Dean of the College of Hospitality Management for Lynn University in the summer of 2005 and returned to FIU to serve as dean in January 2011. He has served as a professional speaker, trainer and educator; and, held progressive positions on the faculty of the School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University for over 12 years. He founded HSA International, a global training and education management organization specializing in the hospitality industry in 1986, and he now serves as Chief Learning Officer for AQIRE International.
Dr. Hampton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Florida State University; a Master of Science degree in Hospitality Management, and an Educational Doctorate degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Florida International University.
Dr. Hampton was awarded the distinctive Doctor of Food Service Medallion by the North American Food Service Equipment Manufacturers Association; and, was named one of the "Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales & Marketing" by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
