Info on Webinar from the producer:
Join Dimitri Boylan, CEO of award-winning recruiting software firm Avature, and Jun Cruzat, Manager of HR Systems at Pixar Animation Studios, for an in depth look at the impact of the social web on talent systems.
You've experienced Web 2.0 in the public domain with sites like LinkedIN, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Wikipedia. Enteprise 2.0 is defined as Web 2.0 inside the enterprise (corporate) domain. The social phenomenon represented by Web 2.0 is an unstoppable force in computing and is the primary driver of software innovation today. The network effect of the Internet has shifted the center of gravity from process centric to social centric software – throwing new challenges and opportunities at talent systems.
Listen as Dimitri and Jun turn Enterprise architecture on its head and attempt to define the underpinning framework of a modern Enterprise 2.0 Talent System based on the fundamental concepts of Web 2.0. Jun will share real life examples of ways he's introduced and leveraged web 2.0 technologies to address age old processes in the HR and staffing function at Pixar.
About the Panelists:
Prior to founding Avature, Dimitri co-founded HotJobs.com in 1997. As Chief Operating Officer and later CEO, Dimitri led the successful HotJobs IPO in 1999 and eventual sale of the company to Yahoo in 2002. Dimitri is a noted authority on the labor market.
Jun currently manages the HR systems at Pixar Animation Studios and has more than 15 years of HR experience. He has led many HR technology initiatives including co-developing a home-grown HRIS system. In his spare time, he teaches a course at UC Berkeley on HR Systems & Technology.
